Shorthanded SNG’s
January 24th, 2008 by player 1Lately I have been getting into the 6-man SNG’s, both regular and turbos. If you are a fan of regular SNG’s but don’t like how long they take (especially on Stars), you may want to look into the 6-mans or the Turbos.
You have to make some serious adjustments when making the move to this different style of game.
Pre flop stantards aren’t quite as strict, as you can open up your starting hand requirements due to the fact that there are less players at the table.
Your play will be less based on cards, and more based on the reads you have on your opponents because you will be raising more hands than you would in a full game. This will tend to put you in more marginal situations that you will have to navigate through more often.
Solid player reads, and good post-flop play are 2 keys to beating the shorthanded SNG’s online.
