Pokerstars Guaranteed Tournaments
Pokerstars has some great MTT’s to offer, starting with the 180-man SNG’s and ending with the Sunday Million every week.
During the week they run a bunch of Guaranteed Tournaments at varying buy-in’s. If you have the bankroll and the time I would suggest looking into the $100+9 $30k Guarantee every night at 1AM EST.
In this one, you start with double the chip stack, but the blinds increase quicker than in a normal MTT. The levels are the same length (15 mins), but they cut out some of the blind levels that are present in the normal-stack tournaments.
There are usually around 300 people in the $30k (depending on the day), and first place is always right around $8k, with about 10% of the field getting paid.
One thing I noticed at this level is that the play is tighter in the beginning stages, however there is more than enough dead money to go around, and in this one, the bad players have twice as many chips to give away.
